2026-2027 Announcements
- CONCERT AND SYMPHONIC BAND PARENTS...if you would like for your child to be considered for nomination to the UAB Honor Band, please communicate with your child about this, and complete the Google Form that was sent to you via email. The deadline to complete this is Sunday, October 11.
- SYMPHONIC BAND PARENTS...information about how to register/pay the deposit for your child's trip to our performance at Midwest was sent out via email on Thursday, August 13, so please be on the lookout for that.
- CONGRATULATIONS...to the Bumpus Symphonic Band on their selection to perform at the 80th annual Midwest Clinic International Band and Orchestra Conference in Chicago, IL December 16-18, 2026!
- ALL BAND PARENTS...please ensure your child has a half inch or one inch three ring binder with LOTS of plastic sheet protectors for band and their method book for their specific instrument (Standard of Excellence, Book 2 for Symphonic Band) (Essential Elements, Book 1 for Concert Band) (Standard of Excellence, Jazz Ensemble Method for Jazz Band) (Standard of Excellence, Book 1 for Beginning Band) as well as all other required supplies for band. Beginning Band students will not need a binder with sheet protectors until the second nine-week grading period.
