- CONGRATULATIONS to the following students who were selected to the Alabama Bandmasters Association Middle School All-State Bands: E. Hashizume, E. Chen, S. Gopinath, C. Riley, M. Webb, L. Batchelor, L. Awtrey, B. Brooks, E. Aroke, Y. Li, and C.McCray. Additionally, E. Cantrell and J. Wendling were selected as alternates.

- CONGRATULATIONS to the Bumpus Symphonic Band on being selected to perform at the 2026 College Band Directors National Association/National Band Association Southern Division Conference at the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL February 19-21, 2026! Symphonic Band parents, detailed information about this trip was sent to all Symphonic Band parents via email on September 2, so please ensure you received that.
- ALL BAND PARENTS...please ensure your child is completing their pass-off assignments for their band class(es) by Thursday evening each week.
- ALL BAND PARENTS...please ensure your child has a half inch or one inch three ring binder with LOTS of plastic sheet protectors for band and their method book for their specific instrument (Standard of Excellence, Book 2 for Symphonic Band) (Habits of a Successful Middle School Musician for Concert Band) (Standard of Excellence, Jazz Ensemble Method for Jazz Band) (Standard of Excellence, Book 1 for Beginning Band) as well as all other required supplies for band. Beginning Band students will not need a binder with sheet protectors until the second nine-week grading period.
